Interesting piece in NYT on audiobook performances and how narrators treat various typographic or postmodern trickery, as in Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, Consider the Lobster, or Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close.

Though not mentioned in this article, I thought the audiobook version of Freakonomics did a nice job handling the figures and tables in the print edition…
