If you pay any attention the tech buzz and general Web 2.0 hullabaloo, you’ve already heard about today’s rollout of Ning, a kind of DIY social application platform. So now, you or I can build our own version of del.icio.us, flickr, craigslist or whatever.
One of the applications already gaining some traction from the Ning launch is Bookshelf, a book tagging & reco playground. Check it out…
I’d like to do something similar with short stories…not whole collections like Bookshelf or LibraryThing, but individual stories. So I know that people who liked "Stone Animals" would also like "The Voluntary State."
Anyway, if I get a beta developer account maybe I’ll give it a shot. (or if you want to give it a go, give me a heads up…)
Update 10/17/05: I’ve been granted developer/beta access, so watch the main page for news on some story-centric apps I have in mind…

LibraryThing could do that—for one thing most library records list all the stories in a given collection. Shoot me an email and we can talk about what you want, and what you want to do with it.
